    About the Workshop:

Say ‘hi’ to the organisers – well, give them a wave! – and catch up on any last minute changes or details. There might even be a teensy song to join in with...

    Meet the Leaders:

Sarah Mandie: (CMVic Diversity Coordinator): Singer and songwriter, choir leader and teacher Sarah is always busy creating and collecting songs and ideas to make our community richer and more connected. Sarah is currently leading The High Street bells all abilities choir, the Flinders Lane Community Voices and The Swinburne Chorale.

Deb Carveth: (CMVic Communications and Volunteer Coordinator): As well as her CMVic work, Deb is also back at uni studying Counselling. She enjoys singing, playing the accordion, seeing the sea and riding her bike, preferably to a cake shop. Deb's looking forward to hearing how everyone's been doing, seeing everyone back together online, and having some fun!

John Howard: (CMVic Finance Coordinator): John sings, leads and/or takes part in many singing groups, tried to play trumpet, is trying to learn clarinet, is loving life in isolation and wonders if that’s really healthy. He is a Middendorf breathwork practitioner.

Margaret Crighton: (CMVic Program Delivery Coordinator): Margaret leads two community choirs, seven ukulele groups, runs two acoustic jam sessions, leads festival choirs, runs workshops, organises performances for her groups and for herself. She also finds time to cook, knit and read. In this time of physical distancing she is still running many of her groups online, getting her head around the tech options to make life easier for leaders and participants - bored? No time for that!

Oli Hinton: (CMVic Coordinator): Oli plays the bari sax, accordion, UBass, and uke, and turns his voice to singing when he can.  He plays in 4 or 5 bands, and especially loves street bands that involve people at all stages of their musical journey. He loves baking bread, and his colleagues might also say that he loves a good spreadsheet – something really intricate to get stuck into!
