For two hours on a Thursday night between April and July; we will play and investigate the connections between body, voice, breath, sound, silence, stillness, movement, text, music, life, space, people, imagination and improvisation. These sessions will be a safe space with a responsive relationship to structure and change to allow everyone who attends to follow their unique interest and nourish their life, music, life-music and musical-life. Through The Musical Body process, we will develop ease, awareness, spontaneity, musicality, artistry and curiosity.
~~MORE DETAIL ON THE RECORDINGS~~
Those attending these sessions will be agreeing to be recorded by film and audio by Charlotte. The two intentions of the recordings and film will be
1. To be used to promote, affect change with and share the richness and diversity of The Musical Body process and approach so as to connect to more people in Melbourne/Australia/the world.
2. To demonstrate some of the idiosyncrasies, details, beauties, crunchiness and richness of song-writing, improvisational vocal art and spontaneous compositions that emerges from The Musical Body's investigative creative practice which has been in development since 1991.
3. To use the tool of The Musical Body process for ourselves and each other and to be an avenue or tool for healing and social change outside the walls of our laboratory.
~Participants will be acknowledged in the paper of an album or on the digital album page, and may have an opportunity to gather together again at some point to launch the album through an intimate performance together~
For the drop-ins anyone is welcome. For the six week series: it will be for those with some experience in vocal improvisational art or work, The Musical Body or music: Please check with Charlotte
