› Dinner on the Terrace (Amberley Online)

    About the Workshop:

Following an afternoon of recharging and singing together, it's time to fill your plate, pull up a seat on the terrace, and kick back as we share some songs! Craig and Nicki host a relaxing dinner session where we share the fruits of our community singing groups labours.

How to prepare for this session:

    • This is your chance to bring your singing group to (virtually) perform at Amberley! If you have a video or sound file to share please email by 9am Monday, 12 October and we'll send further instructions.
    • Places are limited. We aim to showcase a diverse range of community singing groups in action. We also invite you to "show and tell" your creative use of video and audio for leading community singing.

    Meet the Leader: Craig Barrie

Craig is CMVic's Online Music Technology Advisor, and has been coordinating many online sessions with singing and music leaders about running groups during the Covid lockdown. He shares homegrown music with his partner Nicki as indie-folk duo All the Way Home, and sings with numerous choirs and ensembles including early music madrigal group Tierce de Picardie, a cappella quartets Songrise and The Junkman's Choir. He teaches bass, guitar and ukulele, and with Nicki founded the Melbourne Uke’N’Sing Orchestra (MUSO), with arrangements to suit multiple skill levels and a focus on harmony singing. Whether online, or when allowed to once more outdoors, he encourages playful participation from audiences of all ages.
