Cranbourne Chorale (Cranbourne Lions Choir Inc.) is seeking to appoint a new Musical Director to commence early 2019.
Cranbourne Chorale is a non-auditioned, mixed-voice (SATB), community choir based in Cranbourne, in Melbourne's South East.
Our Choir rehearses on Wednesday nights in "The Factory", a dedicated rehearsal facility at the Casey Complex in Cranbourne.
Our choir currently has about 60 members and regularly perform with 30-40 on stage.
Cranbourne Chorale is well-resourced with an extensive music library, and our own staging and sound equipment. The Choir performs a wide range of choral repertoire including classical, popular, folk, gospel, music from stage and screen, and Christmas music.
Cranbourne Chorale's annual performance calendar includes performing at various events across Melbourne and in the City of Casey including the Australia Day Awards and various Citizenship Ceremonies throughout the year.
Our Choir traditionally performs at "Chorale @ Montsalvat" in May, an Annual Choral Concert at mid-year, and have a busy program of well-established Christmas events.
Over recent years Cranbourne Chorale have also been involved with various special projects and events including a "Choir Tour of China", singing in "The Events" at the "Malthouse Theatre", singing in "The Vicar of Dibley" with the "BATS Theatre Company", singing "Peace – a Cantata to John Monash" with "More than Opera" and just recently a number of our members joined with "More Than Opera" and the "Melbourne Chamber Choir" to sing in France for the 100th Anniversary of the Armistice.
