› CMVic Response to COVID-1919/Mar/2020
CMVic recognises the impact of the current situation regarding COVID-19 on all communities and are working to see how we can help. Many of our community will be impacted in various ways. We welcome all the initiative being taken by leaders and groups for online activities, and we are developing ideas about how we can support them.
We expect that all our physical events up until the end of July will probably have to be postponed to later in the year, but we will be reviewing this situation regularly and updating our policy as necessary.
Due to the health and wellbeing of our team being paramount, Community Music Victoria has now implemented a work from home policy. This will be reviewed again at the beginning of April.
While the office is closed, a variety of resources remains available from our online store. We're also in the process of collating a list of web-based resources which we hope will be of use to group leaders as everyone experiments with taking their participatory music-making opportunities online. Please keep us in the loop if you discover anything amazing which works particularly well for you.
We have also put up a page where music leaders can sell stuff or link to stuff they are selling on their own pages. Check that out here.
Keep safe, keep singing and playing at home and online, and please keep sharing your ideas with us!
