      <title>Fiddlehead Festival Song writing competition and massed performance of community singers and players</title>

        <p><span style="font-size:18px;">Write a song about community music–making.</span><span style="color:purple;"></span><br />
The winning song will be performed by a massed choir and band at the Fiddlehead Festival, Yinnar, Gippsland March 15th 2014. <br />
The winner will also receive free entry to the festival and a festival T-shirt*.<br />
Deadline: Songs must be received by 5pm Wed Jan 15th 2014<br />
The song must be suitable for acoustic group performance.<br />

<p>* Conditions:<br />
Submission of an entry or entries to the competition indicates acceptance of the following conditions:<br />
• Submissions must include the song on a CD or, if electronically submitted, as an mp3 file, a lyrics sheet, your name, address, email address and phone number. If you want to you can also include chord charts or score but these are not required.<br />
• The song must invoke the themes of “community” and “music-making”. References to Gippsland or Yinnar are encouraged.<br />
• Ownership of copyright will remain with the author but Fiddlehead Festival reserves the right to publicly perform the song, to video the performance, to use the video in any way for promotion of future festivals and to print the song lyrics in the festival program, fully acknowledging the author on each occasion.<br />
• The song will be arranged and directed for performance by a musical director appointed by Fiddlehead Festival. The writer will be invited to participate in this process. <br />
• Songs must be original and written by the entrant.<br />
• An individual may submit more than one entry on the same CD.<br />
• Submissions will not be accepted on another’s behalf.<br />
• The committee’s decision is final.</p>
