Feedback from past volunteers

“What I like about working at CMVic: Contributing to an organisation that has at its heart the objective to actively encourage and support people to feel free to make music together in community settings, and to have fun in this. I like being part of a group of dedicated people who work at creating more of this joy, music and connectedness in the world.”

Carolyn: Volunteer and Metro Events Co-ordinator

“It was fantastic to be part of such a fun, creative and enthusiastic team. The most rewarding part was sharing music making opportunities with keen members of the public. I've since gone on to work for the Australian Public Service in an overseas posting and am grateful for the useful skills I developed at CMVic.”

Michael: Music Making Opportunities advisor

“I am enjoying working as volunteer bookkeeper at CMVic. It gives me the oportunity to learn Australian work place culture and gives me some satisfaction working with the team”

Nirupa: Accounts support

"It’s great experience volunteering at CMVic. I love working with the people. One of the few places where you can break out and sing while you work.  Not only am I able to volunteer at a great organisation such as CMVic but I have learnt a lot from them as well"

“CMVic has given me a unique volunteering experience in a music community, and a chance to find out more (and maybe get more involved) with music rather than just listening to songs. CMVic has lots of friendly people. I learn new things every time I volunteer and there is always someone who will help if I have questions. The office atmosphere is very cheery which always puts a smile on my face even on a very cloudy day!”
