Dear Community Music Makers,

Welcome to our September update of all things community music. The sun is shining (sometimes just behind the clouds), the birds are singing and spring is in the air! Read on to discover events for the coming month and beyond.

Boroondara Uke Fest registrations are open. CMVic is prroud to present a treasure trove of musical delights: 3 part classical arranging, Jazz uke, picking, strumming, U-bass, Uke Tattoo Art and more from a wonderful team of experienced, skilled and always entertaining leaders. We're in-person at the lovely Ashburton Community Centre and online, to welcome uke lovers everywhere. There's an all-in-strum, tutors' concert, market place and stunning raffle prizes!

If you are missing good old fashioned music camps then September is the month for you. Rosewood Music Camp returns to the beautiful Strathbogie Ranges on 23-26 September and Border Music Camp is back in Albury from 25 September.

CMVic's "Growing Community Music" Outer West project is up and going, keep an eye out for announcements over the next month including music and singing events in November.

Happy music making!

It’s a region well known for its…

13 Jul 2022

We were delighted to introduce the Songs of the Living World at the recent 35th International Society of Music Educators Conference hosted in Melbourne in July 2022. The Songs of the Living World are a testament to our deep and fiercely protective love of the natural world. The recordings feature singers and musicians from across Victoria, with stunning production by Mal Webb. Songs of the Living World…
