Hello Community Music Makers of Victoria,
We hope you’re doing okay out there!
Today's warm Spring sunshine’s making us feel all glass half full, so we’ve listed any events scheduled to take place regionally throughout September in the hope that lockdown lifts in time for them to go ahead.
Keep an eye on relevant websites for updates on anything you have your heart set on attending, as things change. As you’ll see, there are lots of lovely sounding ways to get together and stay connected online.
Hot on the heels of CMVic's gorgeous Musicfest which lit up last weekend, bookings for the Boroondara Ukuele Festival (BUF) will be opening in the next day or so! Read about plans for this below.
Big thanks to everyone who has optimistically shared news and event info with us this month, and to Kass Mulvany for helping pull it all together. This is Kass’s final edition of Shout! as she’s hanging up her CMVic hat after many years of amazing work as a volunteer on the Comms team. Kass, we can’t thank you enough!
If you have something to Shout! about in October, please send details to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) in a Word doc or written in the body of an email. The deadline for submissions is September 23.
Don't forget to spread the love; feel free to forward Shout! to a friend! And if you’d like to support our work in other ways, we love welcoming back renewing and new members alike and you can check your current status or join up here.
Take care of yourselves!
With warm wishes to all of you from all of us.

“We all need to be able to plan things, we need it for our personal wellbeing, we need to have something to look forward and aspire to… it’s a bit like having that recipe where you go, ooh I’d love to make it but I haven’t got quite those ingredients I’ll just substitute this, and it might not be the same but it will still be amazing.”
Margaret Crichton shares her vision for Boroondara Ukuele Festival…

2021 Amberley Singing Camp - 16 October
The wonderful volunteers that make up the CMVIc VicSings Committee have been beavering away at developing a nurturing, replenishing and inspiring singing camp - an opportunity to relax, reset and enjoy the wonder of singing together in harmony. The plan is for a face-to-face event held on the day of 16 October, rather than a residential weekend camp. As you can imagine, contingency planning for COVID has been a key consideration, as well as the impacts of lockdowns on singing leaders' budgets. We'll have more details in our August instalment of Shout!
